Welcome to my website and blog. I am looking forward to keeping you posted on my sessions, and all the new things I am learning. In case you haven't met me yet, my name is Bambara Aven; I also go by Bambie and Bam. I love photography, and can spend whole days photographing, editing, and looking at photos (thank God for summer break). My day job is teaching middle schoolers Physical Science & Georgia Studies in North Georgia. I am an animal lover, and I am sure my furry children will work their way onto this website. I have a loving husband, Corbin, and a son, Nathaniel.

Sometimes people ask me, "How long have you been doing photography?", and I don't really know how to answer. I have boxes of pictures from my middle and high school days (I went through lots of film). I've been shooting portraits since 2007, but I'd have to say it's only been in the past five years that I have REALLY been focusing on creating beautiful photos. I have a day job that allows me to do photography during labs and outdoor sporting events, and that has really helped me improve my skills. 

**Update: Here we are in 2022 and this website has grown into a time machine for me and my community. My focus is now on posed and action sports photography, but you'll see I still take a few high school seniors, school events, and family photos on as requested by my clients.
